On Saturday I switched over from summer performance tires to winter performance tires. I stepped down from 19’s to 18’s for winter weather in the event there is another “snowmaggedon” that pays DC a visit. And as I was downsizing, it provided an opportunity to change the look of the “R” with a new wheel design to see if I keep the Cadiz wheels when spring returns. I think it’s a good idea given the soft nature of the summer tires will utterly fail when the temp gets around freezing, as DC winters are wont to do, leaving me with much less traction with the only four points in contact with the road at any time. I thought traction would be a good thing. See below for the before and after pics then you can decide which looks better.
