Friends and neighbors, hello!
I know there’s been some radio silence on this blog recently, and for that I’m sorry. When I started the blog the plan was to post something new or at least interesting on a weekly basis. Recently, that hadn’t been happening, but I’m working to change that! Over the last several months a combination of things occurred: 1) I’ve worked longer hours at the day job (question: is it still a “day” job if you work in the evening?), 2) taken several road trips, 3) volunteered at SCCA club events, 4) attended shows as well as cars-n-coffee events, 5) began using the Adobe creative suite, and 6) even switched camera systems. What does all of that mean to you the casual observer? Basically this, New Content!
After achieving my stated goal of posting more frequently the next enhancement you’ll notice shortly will be the overall quality of the photo and video offerings. Both should be improving for a couple of reasons; 1) I’ve been learning to edit betterer than before (yeah, I made that a word) meaning less time consumed in learning “how-to” something (although some of that will no doubt still occur), and improvements can be made quicker, 2) I’ve been learning to use Adobe’s editing software, and 3) I switched camera systems (Sony A7ii). I’ll do a separate write up to cover the new gear a little later.
Many of you have been kind enough to view my videos on this site as well as directly on YouTube. So for that, thank you! My goal is to continue developing interesting content. Throughout the history of the blog my photo and video skills have improved. Moving forward I would like to continue that trend, no reason they can’t get betterer and betterer, right?
A summary of the upcoming additions to the site include:
- New videos on the way for road trips, club events, and recaps from shows and meets.
- New higher quality pictures!
- New galleries of the trips, club events, and shows I’ve attended.
- New road trip write ups complete with: POI’s, routes, and overviews are being added. There are two already completed on the blog, and available now for those wanting great drives in Maryland. Check them out HERE.
